“We Cannot Disappoint Ghanaians in Our Tournament” – Ghana Coach

Ghana’s U-17 team engaged Division One League side, Nania fc in a friendly game on Thursday in preparation towards the WAFU ZONE B U-17 Championship next month.

The Black Starlets scored twice past Abedi Pele’s men at the Accra Sports Stadium and head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin spoke on his sides’ performance against the 2011 FA Cup winners. Ghana who are paired against rivals, Nigeria and Togo will host the tournament in Cape Coast between June 11-24 with the competition serving as qualifiers for the AFCON U-17 Championship.

In Group B, Cote d’Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso, and Niger will compete. After failing to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2018, the Black Starlets are determined to do so this time. Head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin has been speaking on his sides’ preparations and situations in camp.

“Our boys are tired because coming to Prampram and going back is not easy at all. “The traffic situation, so when we started the boys were a little bit tired but after the pep talk, it gingered them up and then they came up strongly and we got this result. “But in our previous we played better but I’m sure tiredness has set in so we need to…,” Paa Kwasi Fabin told Nicholas Akosah.
