The erratic power situation under Former President Mahama is something that will be very difficult for Ghanaians to forget. It is the main reason why a lot of Ghanaians became fed up with Mahama.
While his then power minister did spectacularly well in the short time he was Minister, the problem was just too overwhelming.
2. Dead goat syndrome
This was somewhere 2016 and the “dead goat syndrome” appeared. Even though the then President did not intend it to be any form of mockery, the dumsor and economic hardships then, coupled with IMF austerity measures, made many Ghanaians take the dead goat comment to be mockery.
3. Afriyie Ankrah
Afriyie Ankrah was a sports minister under Former President Mahama. He was embroiled in financial scandal after Ghana’s poor performance at the world cup.
The Committee set up to investigate the events presented a damning report about Afriyie Ankrah. Quite shockingly, from the Sports Ministry, he got a job at the Flagstaff House.
