Not long ago, Ghanaian disk jockey and radio personality, DJ Slim went berserk on the Kumerican Asakaa Boys for discrediting the media for their success in the Ghana music industry.
According to him, the Asakaa Boys have had their songs promoted and played on so many radio stations that did not even charge them a dime for that, yet they claim they do not need the media to thrive.
DJ Slim explained that he granted the Asakaa Boys’ first interview when they came out with their first hit song, yet the group has demonstrated ungratefulness towards him and the media, therefore, he opted to blacklist them.
It’s at the back of this decision that every critical thinking music lover can attest to the fact that Asakaa Boys are fading away from the system. Their songs don’t make waves in the media like how they started.

And the good news is that Ruthy, a highly opinionated showbiz critic, has come to the rescue of Asakaa Boys in the hands of Kumasi-based DJ Slim.
According to Ruthy, DJ Slim got it all wrong for taking the hard decision of blacklisting Asakaa Boys irrespective of their wrongdoing.
