Most observers in the upcoming race for the national chairmanship position in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), are predicting a victory for Stephen Ntim in the contest.
The NPP will go to the polls to elect new national officers for the party in July for a new four-year mandate.
And ahead of the elections close observers are tipping Mr Ntim to emerge victories over the other candidates.
Mr Ntim is contesting for the position for the umpteenth time having come close to winning on three separate occasions in the past.
Some chieftains within the party have come out boldly to state their position on who is likely to win the contest with Assin Central MP Kennedy Ohene Agyapong leading the front.
The fire brand politician said: “Stephen Ntim will win massively”, adding that even if he doesn’t turn up for the polls, this would happen.
Similar predictions have been made by other heavyweights within the party as the election approaches.
Popular pollster Ben Ephson has also predicted a win for Mr Ntim saying all the surveys he has conducted in the lead up to the race, gives him the urge.
Mr Ntim is facing competition from former MP Stephen Asamoah Boateng, current treasurer of the party Kwabena Abankwah-Yeboah, and another former MP Prof. Christopher Ameyaw-Ekumfi among others for the position.
The national executive elections of the party is scheduled to come off between July 14 – 16, 2022 and, this will be supervised by the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
