Ghanaian musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla who is widely known as Stonebwoy has revealed the reason behind his delay when he had to come on stage to perform at the recently held Vodafone Ghana Awards (VGMA).
It could be recalled that the award-winning musician had to keep patrons and viewers waiting for several minutes before appearing for his performance.
During the long wait, many people took to social media to register their displeasure with some even thinking the delay was deliberate.
However, the musician has reacted to these claims and according to him, the delay was not a deliberate one.
He gave this explanation in a recent submission he made on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM when he spoke with renowned radio show host, Andy Dosty.
In his submission, he said;
“My delay in appearing on stage at the VGMAs for my performance was due to a technical challenge. I hope it is something people can forgive. However, the plan wasn’t to appear on stage immediately after I was announced to perform.”
During the event, Stonebwoy bagged three awards with the notable one being the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year. This comes after he was reinstated after he was banned from the show due to the fracas that ensued between him and Shatta Wale in 2019.
