Basic Schools Re-opens Today, Check All The Activities Expected Within This Second Term

Basic Schools across the length and breadth of Ghana are expected to reopen schools today, 10th May 2022.

Number Of Weeks To Be Spent

Basic schools are expected to spend 14weeks in school. School is expected to vacate on 18th August 2022.

Holidays

There is only one holiday to be enjoyed in this second term. It falls on 4th August 2022 as founder’s day.

Workshops In Second Term

As part of the One Teacher One Laptop initiative, all teachers are expected to undergo some basic ICT training to help them use the various e-learning resources that have been made available on the laptops. 

As a result, the Ghana Education Service (GES), in collaboration with KA Technologies (KAT) and Microsoft, is organizing a physical training for Junior and Senior High School teachers. Some regions will begin their training from 16th May 2022.

Other regions are expected to recieve similar training in this term.

Laptop Distribution

According to GES, primary teachers are also expected to recieve their long awaited TM1 laptops in this second term.
