The Black Stars have qualified for the world cup slated for Qatar later this year. It promises to be a memorable tournament and Ghana must not be left out. We are not going there to make up the numbers but to make an impact as we did in South Africa in 2010. To make such a huge impact, we need to assemble the best squad available. The future is bright for the Black Stars if those in charge play their cards very well.
One aspect of the team is likely to see a huge facelift if we can convince some players to join our train to Qatar. This potential attack of the Black Stars will wreak havoc at the world cup and terrorize opposition defenders. Afena-Gyan has been a revelation since he joined the black stars set-up. He holds the ball very well and can play with his back to the goal. He needs more playing time at his club to develop his talent further. Inaki Williams will be a huge asset for us if he joins the team for Qatar. He is a proven goal scorer and has demonstrated his abilities consistently for so many years.
Eddie Nketiah of Arsenal has gotten into his groove for the past few weeks. He has now gotten the chance to demonstrate his abilities and has never been disappointed. He has kept the experienced Alexander Lacazette out of the team and the goals have started to flow. His talent has never been in doubt. He will only continue to get better. Throw in Antoine Semenyo and we have a very dynamic front line that will torment defences in Qatar.
