The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is sponsoring Odeneho Kwaku Appiah in a “fruitless exercise” to get Chairman Wontumi out of office as Ashanti Regional Chairman, Obaa Yaa (Race Course) has revealed.
Obaa Yaa, a staunch member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) disclosed on Wontumi TV that, all the goodies Odeneho has been sharing to delegates to convince them to vote for him were all bought and delivered to him by the NDC.
“NDC is sponsoring Odenoho. All the rice and cooking oil he is distributing are all from the NDC”, she said while she called on the party to maintain Chairman Wontumi as Regional Chairman in Ashanti region.
The NPP woman continued that, she once visited Odeneho at his office and to her surprise, “he was watching a station that belonged to the NDC”.
Obaa Yaa (Race Course) dismissed the idea of replacing Chairman Wontumi with Odeneho explaining that, he (Odeneho) once told the public that the NDC is not comfortable with the current Ashanti Regional Chairman and therefore wonders why he (Odeneho) is stepping up his effort to contest Chairman Wontumi.
