It Is Not True; Akuffo Addo Never Said That He Will Reduce Fuel Prices In Ghana

There was a bit of drama between two political activists on the New Day show on TV3 this morning.

Speaking about the recent increase in fuel prices in the country, Edem Agbana, who is the deputy youth organizer of the NDC revealed that President Akuffo Addo has failed to honour the promise he made to Ghanaians in 2016. He added that the president promised to reduce fuel prices in the country when he is given the opportunity to be the president.

He added that the NPP was desperate for power so they made all sort of promises which they knew it would be impossible to implement.

“In 2016 when President Akuffo Addo, then candidate Akuffo Addo made a promise, an emphatic promise to the good people of Ghana that he will reduce fuel prices when given the opportunity” he stated.

Immediately he made this statement, an NPP man who goes by the name George Ayisi revealed that President Akuffo Addo never promised Ghanaians that he will reduce fuel prices when he is given the power to rule. He added that all videos which support such claim are all edited by the NDC.

The host of the show, Berla Mundi supported the NDC man by saying that indeed there are videos to show that President Akuffo Addo has indeed promised Ghanaians to reduce fuel prices
