The 60th anniversary of Boa-Amponsem Senior High School (BOASS ) has been launched in Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region.
The has launched its 60th Anniversary at the Ben Amoono Hotel under the theme: “BOASS @60, The Role Of Stakeholders In Promoting Quality Free Senior High School Education For National Development.”
A colourful parade was mounted by the Boa-Amponsem Senior High School Army Cadet Corps and was reviewed to precede the launch on Saturday, May 7th 2022.
In his welcome address, Mrs Grace Anapong the Headmistress of the school, , thanked BAPSA and all for their contributions to the school’s success and further prayed for strengthening “the existing partnership with our major stakeholders to build and expand the footprints of our dear school”.
She however called on all stakeholders to help establish dormitories and a school dinner hall extension.
In his speech, the National President of BAPSA, Mr. Ekow Hughes, stated that there is a need “to help build the school to a Grade School. ”
He, therefore, called on all “to think deep and invest in our great Alma mater to set the pace for an enhanced education .”
“I congrate the BOASS National Maths and Science quiz team for making a historic semi-final berth ,the Municipal Assembly is putting in more effort to respond to the plight of the school,” MCE Upper Denkyira East said .
The 60th-anniversary logo was unveiled by the DCE Upper Denkyira West ,Mr. Richmond Koduah ,while the anniversary cloth, was unveiled by MCE Upper Denkyira East, Mr. Ebenezer Appiah Forson.
The 60th anniversary was duly launched by Municipal Education Director, Mr. Eugene Quarshie with music from the school choir.
