TV3’s Saturday Morning show seems to project better discussions on regular basis . Suleiman Braimah of the Media Foundation for West Africa and Fourth Estate, Paul Adom Otchere of the Metro TV and Franklin Cudjoe of the Imani Africa have contributed to the trending discussions of Ghana’s latest ranking on the World Freedom rankings.Â
According to Franklin Cudjoe, the Executive Director of Imani Africa, the government should be held directly accountable various measures that government has proposed to improve future ranking.
According to Paul Adom Otchere, Ghana must get to a point where the media houses should be able to raise revenues via the digital systems just like how the United States media stations sell their news as economic goods . During Paul Adom Otchere’s explanation, he was interrupted by Dzifa Bampoe but he declined to stop putting his points forward and then mentioned that his mum is watching and she had informed him not to say some things that would affect his reputation but rather say things that would project the facts . Many viewers sent in messages that the hostess Dzifa Bampoe, should stop interrupting Paul’s submissions because Paul was bringing out a lot of facts.
Suleiman Braimah who seemed not to agree with Paul , mentioned that the Burkina Faso is currently ahead of the United States despite the United States economic index or digital systems incorporated to make revenues for the media . According to Suleman, there is a discriminatory way of handing media issues in Ghana presently and the enforcement of law by the National Communications Authority favored Oman FM over Radio Gold even though this authourity should have been independent. Dzifa asked why Suleman did not present these evidence of infractions to the Court to compel NCA to respond. Suleman replied that NCA responded due to the cost of research, Media for West Africa should pay for such information.
