The Deputy Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Jennifer Oforiwaa Queen has exposed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy).
Jennifer Oforiwaa Queen referred to the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC’s) 2020 manifesto on page 99 and according to her, the National Democratic Congress stated that they will introduce a new tax called E-transaction to the Ghanaians when they are being voted into power.
Jennifer Oforiwaa Queen said the E-transactions that the National Democratic Congress wanted to implement if they had the power to rule again and what the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has already implemented, that is the E-levy, are no different.
Jennifer Oforiwaa Queen also said the slight difference between the E-transactions and the E-levy is that; the charges on the E-transactions will be applied only for bank transactions as tax whiles the charges on the E-levy are being applied through mobile transactions.
Jennifer Oforiwaa Queen exposed the National Democratic Congress in an interview with the host of “Akoko Abon”, King Edward De Slave.
