Award-winning Ghanaian musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla known in the music circle as Stonebwoy has indicated that his new deal with DefJam will not make him change his style of doing music.
Stonebwoy has currently been signed by the DefJam recordings. The dancehall artist has disclosed that he will still stick to his styles and genre of music.

Def Jam Recordings is an American multinational record label owned by the Universal Group. It is based in Manhattan, New York City, specializing predominantly in hip hop, contemporary R&B, soul, and pop. The label has a London-based, UK arm known as 0207 Def Jam and is currently operated through EMI Records.
Stonebwoy made this comment at a presser at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Thursday, May 5, 2022. The press conference was Stonebwoy’s outdooring by DefJam recordings.

Although Stonebwoy promised to maintain his style and genre, he also stated that his fans will experience a ‘different’ Stonebwoy because of this new deal. He emphasized that it will exhibit and strengthen his versatility as an artist.
“There’s no change. it is just an improvement…because we want to get to a larger audience, we have to also be able to attract them to what they also know, so they can experience what this is”.
