John Mahama early this week presented a strong rebuttal to the state of the economy as illustrated weeks ago by President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia. The former president was of the view that the government has mismanaged Covid-19 funds and called on the Akufo-Addo led government to account for the monies they used during the pandemic.
However earlier, John Mahama in a presentation at the Harvard Business School had reiterated that Covid-19 had affected the entire world. The former president noted that many African economies have been devastated by the pandemic. In analyzing the speech made by John Mahama at Harvard, Kamal Deen averred that John Mahama presented a truthful statement to the world regarding the Covid pandemic. He mentioned that Ghana is in Africa and so hasn’t been spared the hardships that covid-19 brought along as John Mahama espoused.
Interestingly, though Kamal Deen admitted that John Mahama was truthful, he challenged John Mahama as to why he is bent on destroying the government by saying that covid-19 funds have been mismanaged when he knew that much money was spent to stabilize the economy. He called on John Mahama to concede monies were not embezzled but rather went to keep the economy running.
