The Upper West regional minister, Dr Bin Salih Hafiz has urged Muslims in the upper West region to support the government by observing their tax duties for excellent leadership and Ghana’s development.
The minister today joined the congregation at the Jujeidayiri School part with his fellow believers to observe the Eid-Ul-Fitr prayers in Wa, upper West region.
The minister while addressing the believers encouraged them to put in more effort to observe the teaching of Islam, which encourages supporting authorities for the betterment of the people.
He also encouraged them to continue to pray for president Akufo Addo amd support him by paying their taxes through the E-levi so that he will achieve the good things he has in stock for the country.
He also cleared the misconceptions and propaganda that the e-levi is going to be used to enrich few pockets, by emphatically stating that it is going to be used for the good of Ghanaians.
“I urged you to put in more effort to observe the teaching of Islam even after the month of Ramadan. I also encouraged you to continue to pray and support President Nana Akufo-Addo as he provides exceptional leadership for our country’s development. By observing and duly paying your E-levi, you put the government in a good position to deliver. Eid Mubarak to everyone” part of his statement read.
