The Ghana Revenue Authority has recently raised lots of concerns amongst Ghanaians after they revealed another deep secret about the 1.5% E-levy charge on all transactions amongst others.

Speaking in a recent interview on JoyPrime, the Head of Project Management at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Isaac Kobina Amoako took the privilege to reveal that, shops and businesses registered with GRA will have their customers who purchase products electronically not pay E-levy charges amongst other related charges.

“For you to enjoy buying of things, the one selling would go to MTN and ask to be added to the ‘Momo Pay’ service. They would enroll the person. That then gives an advantage to customers because when someone uses that platform, they won’t have to pay the E-levy. We GRA also says that, if the merchant is registered with us, then we will spare you the 1.5% E-levy charge”, Isaac Kobina Amoako emphatically revealed.
