Four players have established themselves so far in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, GPL with the most Most Valuable Player, (MVP) awards after Matchday 27 of the competition.
Konadu Yiadom of WAFA has won six of these awards in the matches he has played for the academy lads this season as we near the end of the campaign.
However, this has not been enough to place his side higher on the table as they languish in the bottom three on the table battling to avoid relegation with seven matches to end the season.
Asante Kotoko’s Cameroonian import Frank Etouga Mbella has also won six MVP awards for his contribution to the success of the club so far.
The Porcupines lead the standing by nine points as they chase a record extending 25th GPL title this season and, Mbella has been a constant figure in this campaign as he has contributed 18 goals in Kotoko’s quest to win the diadem.
Also with six MVP awards so far this season is Yaw Annor of AshantiGold SC who is also second on the goals scored chat with 16 goals, just two behind Mbella’s 18.
Annor’s contribution has also seen the Miners rise to the upper half of the table as they chase a top-four finish at the end of the campaign.
Bright Adjei of Aduana FC has also won six MVP awards and, also has 13 goals to his credit as they sit just outside the top-four on the standing.
Following the aforementioned players with five MVP awards this season is Jonah Attuquaye of Legon Cities whose side is one of the form sides in the competition at the moment as they also chase a top four finish.
The competition will continue with the Matchday 28 fixtures at the weekend, and, all five players will look to build on their form in their quest to wrestle the most MVP awards at the end of the campaign.
