E-Levy: You Didn’t Work But You’re Charging Higher Than The Telcos – Man Tells Ghana Government

A young man who goes by the name Babbanyaro Gh on Facebook has questioned the percentage deduction of the E-Levy.

The young man who doesn’t see the importance of E-Levy took to Facebook and raised concerns.

According to him, how can someone transact an amount of Ghc5000 on mobile money and the telecommunications (telcos) who is rather in charge, charged Ghc7.50p but government will deduct Ghc73.50p as E-Levy.

He said “someone didn’t work but charging higher than the one who did the work, and if the same amount is transferred again, they will take another Gh73.50ps for no work done.”

This means, government didn’t do anything but it is rather charging higher than the telcos.

He writes;

“How can someone send 5000gh to another person, the telecos that provided the transfer service charged Gh7. 50p but government who didn’t do anything just take Gh73.50p for no work done.

Someone didn’t work but charging higher than the one who did the work, and if the same amount is transferred again, they will take another Gh73.50ps for no work done. The annoying part is, you don’t feel it when someone post it until they take it from your own account, then you feel the heat.

#elevy 😳😳😳”
