As measure to ensure the safety and security of the good people of the Assin North Constituency, cocoa season will be the best time if there should be bye-election.
Season where the ordinary people have something (Money) in their pockets, it reduces tension and fear among the people in that particular Area.
One way politicians influence the people especially the vulnerable ones is through money but if they people have something small to depend on, the rate of influencing people create problems during the election period.
One thing I want the Supreme Court, Electoral Commission and other law Institutions handling the Assin North MP’s dual citizenship suit is that, they should consider safety and security of the people in the Assin North Constituency.
Let us not forgot that, the Assin North Constituency is a vulnerable district made up of farmers. Conducting Elections at this particular time might not only create disputes because of money influence but will also reduce the total number of votes Political Parties may expect.
The good people of the Assin North Constituency are now planting their rice farms whilst others are preparing their Cocoa farms for bumper harvest. This will not allow the ordinary people to waste time again on voting.
