You Are Telling Us Not To Encourage Coup D’Etats But See What Your Own People Are Doing-Kwesi Pratt

Today, on Alhaji and Alhaji show, Kwesi Pratt sent a bold message to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo, who for some time now, has advocated that Ghanaians do not entertain coups in the country. Kwesi Pratt told the President the hard truth about how some internals in his government are acting like coup leaders.

“We are told that we should respect the constitution. We are also told not to encourage coup d’ etats. And yet, some of the actors in government behave like coup leaders. The constitution says that do not arrest people and detain them for not more than 48 hours.

“But yet, they arrest people, detain them for three days and tell us that they were arrested during the weekend. Who says the constitution counts the weekends?”, he explained.

Kwesi Pratt further decried how the judiciary pretentiously declare that they have no jurisdiction over such issues.

“Can you imagine people who do this to civilians”, he lamented.
