Legendary Ghanain musician Shasha Marley has postulated that he is a committed Christian although he wears dreads.
He revealed that he is a member of the Synagogue Church of All Nations and visits both the branches in Nigeria and Ghana.
He made this disclosure to Dr Kay on the Nkran Kwanso drivetime show on Accra 100.5 FM on Thursday, April 28, 2022.

“As a person who carries dreadlocks, I took my inspiration from John the Baptist, the man who baptized Jesus Christ of Nazareth,” he stated.
“John the Baptist, the man who baptised the man who came to save the world, carried dreadlocks,” he said, adding: “It is not just everybody who carries dreadlocks that is a Rastafarian, as perceived by many Ghanaians.”
“As a Christian, I go to church and people see me and they are like: ‘Ah!’ … but I know I came to the house of the Lord to serve my Lord and not them, so, it doesn’t bother me,” he said.
In other news, Sasha Marley stated that singing is a calling and it takes the divine touching from God.
According to the musician who has been singing since he was a teenager, musicians are more powerful preachers than preachers who have been to Bible school.
He made this disclosure during an interview on Accra Chat segment of the Nkran Kwanso on Accra 100.5FM.
