Is it due to arrogance? Gov’t fail to learn from past experience – Eduzi on allowance neutralization

Members of CLOGSAG began an indefinite strike on Thursday, April 21 and this is because of nonpayment of the neutrality allowance. The Legal practitioner and member of the NDC, Mr Eduzi Tamakloe had made clear the current government fail to learn from past experiences.

However on the negotiation and payment of salaries and allowances, he said ,the CLOGSAG ( Civil local Government Staff Association of Ghana) have sent several follow ups on their allowances to the Finance Ministry but have not been received any positive response.

To cut the whole story short, is the country moving forward or backwards. Despite the fact ,they are from different political parties with different forums or ideas, they must see to it that, afflictions or mistakes do not repeat itself.

He concluded what the Government could have done was, ” To basically just enhanced the Cost of Living Allowance (CoLA) at a certain percentage, cover for the increasing cost of living, among other things, instead of introducing this nomenclature.

It is destabilizing factor and I can tell you, without sounding prophetic, that by close of year all ,other unions are going to demand their neutrality allowance.”- Eduzi Tamakloe says.
