Premier League: Why Liverpool Will Overtake Manchester City at the Top on Saturday

The battle for the Premier League title is still in play for two out of twenty league contenders – thus between Liverpool and Manchester City as they set to wrestle their 35th Premier League fixture on Saturday in separate encounters.

Managing his 372nd game for the Merseyside according to sofascore accumulated statistics, Jurgen Klopp will embark on a field trip to St. James’ Park whilst arch-rival Pep Guardiola to Elland Road.

Now to our main topic why Liverpool will leapfrog Manchester City. The ‘Reds’ will have the opening of this week’s fixtures at 11:30 AM – on Saturday and there is a high possibility they are going to throw off ‘the Magpies’ at their Stadium given previous encounters and their last victory against Liverpool, since 2015 – from then, Liverpool have been in dominance recording six wins and four draws ahead of Saturday clash.

So ‘the Reds’ possibility of winning is high which will place them on top of the ladder even if it is for a few hours awaiting results from Manchester City and Leeds United which will be played as the final PL game that faithful day.

In the event there is a draw – Liverpool will still lead by the difference of four goals for some hours awaiting ‘the Cityzens’ results. Either way, if both sides emerged victoriously, they will be in their original positions like never before but with adjustments in goals.
