E-levy makes me happy – Okoe Boye

The Deputy Minister of Health, Bernard Okoe Boye in an interview with the host of Kokrokoo, Kwame Sefa Kayi disclosed that the tax on electronic transactions (E-levy) makes him happy whenever he thinks of the benefits to the country.

According to Bernard Okoe Boye, the main reason why he entered into politics is that he always wanted the basic needs of the Ghanaians to be provided.

Bernard Okoe Boye said, his happiness depends on the safety and basic needs of the Ghanaians and he is very happy that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has introduced a new tax called E-levy which is going to take effect from Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Even though Ghanaians are not happy with the E-levy, Bernard Okoe Boye believes that they will begin to have interest and would like to pay more when they see that, their monies have been invested into roads, jobs, and other developmental projects because Ghanaians never get interested in newly decisions made by the government especially when it is tax unless the decisions are being put into good use.

Bernard Okoe Boye says tax on electronic transactions (E-levy) makes him happy especially when he imagines the way it is going to transform the country, Ghana.
