National Identification Authority is the full meaning of NIA. The National Identification Authority is responsible of creating, maintaining, providing and promoting the use of national identity cards in order to advance economic, political and social activities in the country as stated in our core mandate. The National Identification Authority (NIA) has come out to release a statement to the general public.

According to the National Identification Authority (NIA), registration services at some Special Registration Points shall end on Friday, 29th April, 2022. Please follow this article as I show you the names of the Special Registration Points that will end on Friday, 29th April, 2022. The names are listed below.

1. Accra Sports Stadium

2. Kumasi Sports Stadium

3. Tamale Sports Stadium

4. Ho Sports Stadium

5. Sunyani Coronation Park

6. Old Catholic Church, Pedu, Cape Coast.

The above listed registration points are the Special Registration Points that will end on Friday, 29th April, 2022. These registration points were established in February this year in response to the growing demand from thousands of Ghanaians who thronged National Identification Authority’s (NIA) offices nationwide for the Ghana Card and related service, particular as initial deadline of 31st March, 2022 for the Sim card re-registration exercise approached.

The National Identification Authority (NIA) also stated that, all the 276 operational District Offices and 16 Regional Offices of NIA, as well as the Premium Registration Centera at National Identification Authority (NIA) Headquarters and CAL Bank Head Office in Accra, remain open for registration during official working hours.

The National Identification Authority (NIA) concluded by all persons in the country who have not yet registered for the Ghana Card to do so ahead of due dates announced by various state instructions such as the Bank of Ghana and the National Communications Authority for their mandatory reliance on the Ghana Card for their sector-specifc transactions.
