The European Champions League has seen a great number of goal scorers down the years with some of these top marksmen coming from Brazil.
The South American country is noted for producing a great line of footballers some of whom have gone on to do great things in the sport.
This year’s European Champions League has reached the last four with the likes of record winners of the competition Real Madrid, English giants Liverpool and Manchester City as well as Spanish outfit Villarreal all in contention to make it to the grand finale.
Brazilian players have contributed to seeing all four clubs reaching this far as they have contributed to the goals scored.
The list of Brazilian top goal scorers in the competition is headed by poster boy Neymar Jr who has scored 41 goals in 75 matches.
He is still an active player and he could extend the lead further.
Neymar Jr is followed on the list by the now retired Kaka who scored 30 goals in 86 matches; Rivaldo, another retired player, scored 27 goals in 73 matches with Jardel who is also retired, scoring 25 times in 46 matches.
Giovanni Elber scored 24 goals in 69 appearances in the competition with Mazzola hitting 24 goals in just 28 matches.
Luiz Andriano scored 21 times in 47 matches and is followed on the list by Gabriel Jesus and Roberto Fermino who have scored 20 goals each in 37 and 48 matches respectively.
Both players are still involved in the game and, they could extend their respective records.
With 18 goals are Juninho and the great Ronaldinho Gaucho who played 58 and 47 matches respectively.
