The NPP Government Misused 3 Billion Dollars During The COVID Pandemic – Eric Adjei (Details)

On Despite Media Today, Eric Adjei described the covid 19 pandemic as a blessing in disguise for the ruling government.

“During the covid pandemic, every government in every nation made progressive steps to make life easier for its citizens. Through it all, there is no African country that gained more money than Ghana during the covid period.”

“It doesn’t also mean that in Africa, we recorded the most cases. Elders have also said that to whom much is given, much is expected.”

“During the pandemic, the government made social interventions. They went as far as touching a stabilization fund of 250 million left by Mahama in the name of helping small and medium enterprises to cushion their works.”

“At the end of the day, the money was shared by partisan means with influential people. They went to the IMF twice and on each case, took 1 billion dollars when covid cases were recorded in the country.”

“They took 450 million dollars from the world bank and lied to the citizenry of taking 100 million dollars.”

“They further went to the African Development Bank and took 68 million dollars. At the end of the day, President Nana Akufo-Addo came to tell us that we should have paid for the water and light bill we used freely during the covid pandemic so he has brought e-levy.”

Thus, the government of Ghana during the pandemic spent about 3 billion dollars during the pandemic.
