According to the US Report, the 2020 elections was transparent and fair even though there were some violations of human rights.
The human rights report sought to state that the government complied with freedom of association but not freedom of assembly due to how the country frowns on LGTBI. Besides, Ghana was appreciated for not restricting citizens to access to internet .This same report states that “the Judiciary was subject to corruption and unlawful influence”.
The ” 2021 Human rights report” by the United States is currently in the top lists when we talk of trends. Per the report, there were claims that Ghana has committed some human rights abuses such as the right to association and has abused certain persons .
Professor Kwesi Aning, an Academic, has expressed his views on the recent Human rights report submitted by the United States on Ghana.
According to the Professor ,he expects the Foreign Ministry to provide a robust reply to the report on Ghana 2021 Human Rights Report by the United States .
