It Is ‘Childish’ To Think That A Bawumia-Alan Ticket Will Win The 2024 Elections – Kwesi Pratt

Kwesi Pratt has hit hard at proponents calling for Bawumia to partner Alan in the next elections. There have been calls that to prevent chaos and bitterness Bawumia and Alan Kyerematen should partner and represent the NPP in the 2024 elections. One of the proponents of this is Nana Akomea who in an interview called for the 2 to join hands and ensure they win for the party.

Kwesi Pratt on Good Morning Ghana today, Wednesday, April 27, 2022 however said this wasn’t possible and even if it was, a childish way to behave. According to Kwesi people of competence are to lead the party. He wondered why parties go in for one Christian and one Muslim or one from the south and another from the north to represent them. He called for politicians to move from that strategy of trying to appease sections of Ghanaians.

Kwesi called on those calling for a Bawumia and Alan ticket to move away from those comments because it is not possible and not good for politics. He mentioned that even if they choose to partner, who was ready to lower his ego and be vice to the other. He noted that political parties always have issues over flagbearers and later it is resolved and so both should be allowed to stand and one winner picked instead of calls for a united front which he doubts will win the elections

According to Kwesi, if the two are brought together against their own will this will create division and contentions within the party. “It is lazy politicians who say that. It is childish and it doesn’t address the real needs of the people. This isn’t gong work. Focus on people who can address the needs of Ghanaians” Kwesi Pratt said
