The Northern Regional Youth Wing for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by the Youth Organizer, Abdul Karim Mumin has expressed concerns over the recent allegations by one Evelyn Adu popularly known as Serwaa Broni that she has had an intimate relationship with president Akufo-Addo, which the president latter used state security to harass.
Mr. Karim and the NDC youth are demanding that President Akuffo Addo should come out to break his long silence on what they described ad “damning scandal” for the whole world to know the truth.
“The Northern Regional youth wing of National Democratic Congress led by Comrade Karim Mumin is particularly happy with the minority in parliament for showing much interest in the issue and promising to have the matter investigated. The youth of this country will be guided by their facts findings, and we will give them whatever support they will need in this matter if it turns out to be true”, he wrote in a statement.
“President Akuffo Addo should come out to break his long silence on this damning scandal. The president must also tell the people of Ghana how much of the taxpayers money has been used by his “clean up team” to negotiate and pay compensation to the numerous side-chicks all in efforts to conceal his sexual escapades”, the release added.
According to the NDC Youth Organizer, it is however strange that persons who were supposed to be seen talking against this are rather quiet, calling on all other voices in this country to rise from “their long sleep” and let their voices be heard on the matter.
“The church and the mosque must begin to speak, the clergy and all the councils, the chiefs, and women groups and all the opinion leaders must stand up and speak truth to power”, he appealed.
“The media which is supposed to be the 4 arm of government, discharging their duties without any fear and intimidation, unfortunately have lost their voices on this matter. It is worrying that the media that is supposed to give voice to the voiceless will remain deadly silence about this serious allegation of president Akuffo Addo’s sexual escapade with Ms. Evelyn Serwaa Broni”, Mr. Karim concluded.
