Christian Atsu is one of the few Ghanaian football stars who has shown the world that he really thinks about people in need. He doesn’t keep his wealth to himself, he makes sure he lends out a helping hand to people who really need help, and I respect him for that.
The Ghanaian professional is currently making waves in the country for his kind gestures towards prisoners. According to Saddick Adams, a renowned Ghanaian sports journalist, Christian Atsu has paid for the release of over 120 prisoners in Ghana over the past four years.
These prisoners are mostly petty offenders who had difficulties in paying their fines. Christian analyzed the whole situation and thought it wise to stand for them by helping them out. One amazing aspect of it all is the fact that, he started this generous offer in 2018 and he still does that even in present day.
Not only does he get them out of the various prisons, he also supports them with tokens to aid facilitate their re-integration into the society. I wonder the number of prisoners who owe their freedom to him. What a nice soul he is!!!
