As the NPP primaries draw near, the two potential candidates, Alan Kyeremanten and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia have taken advantage of their incumbent offices as Trade Minister and Vice President respectively to indirectly advertise themselves to the electorates, in our case, Ghanaians. Not long ago, Bawumia held an economic lecture which many have described as the right exposure of the Vice President as a better manager of the economy.
Today, the Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kojo Kyeremanten, stormed the 3rd Biennial Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit which saw the launch of the WERise Network. Alan made an appearance in his capacity as Trade Minister. As one of the keynote speakers, Alan made a promise to the women present. He tasked the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana to see to it that it is accomplished.
“The Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana is here. And I want the Bank of Ghana together with our financial institutions to initiate a program that will provide guarantee support for loans that go to women”, he boldly stated.
The women present gave him a thunderous applause for that statement he made.
