Viewers were so excited about the fact that the beautiful Jackie Appiah would be hosting UTV’s United Showbiz programme. The show had Samira Yakubu, Kalsoum Sinare, Aplus, Oscar Provencal also known as the legendary” Inspector Bediako”, Arnold Baidoo and Roselyn Ngisah.
The show began with the pretty actress introducing all the sponsors of the show and then she requested for a commercial break which was granted. Then she went ahead to introduce each of the panel members and provided their profile. In her description of Arnold, she introduced Arnold as a” handsome” entertainment commentator.
Jackie Appiah actually added some flavour to the introduction and then all of a sudden, told viewers that ” we will be back just after a short commercial break ”.
Surprisingly, the programme did not get that commercial break and then she told viewers that ” I requested for break because I did not know what to do ” and she spoke in the Akan language to make sure that she communicated her intensions clearly. The show is actually supposed to be in the local Akan dialect but she deliberately chose to blend her beautiful English speaking skill with the Akan language to make things easier for her.
In all, we can firmly conclude that Jackie Appiah should be applauded for actually mesmerizing the show with her smile, laughter and politeness.
