The member of parliament for North Tongu Constituency, honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said that the way the Majority Group Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has become the official mouthpiece of the Supreme Court is puzzling.
In a Facebook post, the member of parliament lamented that the majority leader’s comments after they submitted their case to the supreme court to throw away the e-levi.
According to Okudzeto Ablakwa, majority leader’s assertion that their case on the unconstitutional passage of the e-levi is dead on arrival makes him wonder if he’s the one who makes decisions in the supreme court.
He questioned what gives the majority leader that unabashed affrotery to make such an assertion. He questioned what the majority leader knows that the rest of them doesn’t know.
“What gives him such unabashed effrontery and what does he know that the rest of us do not know?” He queried.
He said the conduct of Osei Kyei Mensah undermines the independence and credibility of the judiciary and will agravate the legitimate fears of the National Security.
