A group of people has criticized the NPP for holding a thanksgiving service since a similar situation happened in Techiman South.

John Boadu, the General Secretary for NPP together with Nicholas Fiifi Bakoe and other Assin North NPP executives were present at the thanksgiving service.
With dissatisfaction shown by the Assin North, it proves they loved their MP James Gyakye Quayson and are ready to do everything to get him back.
