Ghanaian striker Mohammed Anas scores for Jordanian side Al Wehdat in Asian Champions League

Ghanaian striker Mohammed Anas has opened his account for Jordanian side Al Wehdat as they completed a 3-1 home win in their Asian Champions League game.

Al Wehdat defeated Al Sadd of Qatar in their fourth game of this season’s championship as they chase to qualify from the Group E.

Anas, 27, scored in the 48th minute to help his side record their first win in the ongoing competition.

The have four points from the four matches they have played and, they will look to build on this performance for the rest of the campaign.

The Ghanaian striker, joined the Jordanian side on a short term deal early this month until the rest of the season with an option to extend.

He had previously played for Maritzburg United, Free State Stars, Polokwane City, Black Leopards and TS Galaxy all in South Africa.

During his stay in South Africa, Anas scored 32 goals in 139 matches in all competitions, prompting Al Wehdat FC to offer him a contract.

The Ghanaian has gained much experience on his travels, and, he is expected to bring this to bare at his new Jordanian side as they compete on all fronts.

Al Wehdat have yet to open their account in the Jordanian league which started a couple of weeks ago.

They have three outstanding games to play in the league against Al Salt, Moghayer Al Sarhan and Shabab Al-Aqaba with their next league game scheduled to come off on May 4, 2022 against Shabab Al-Ordon.

Mohammed Anas will hope to see action in these upcoming fixtures as he builds on his confidence at his new club.
