It was an euphoria sight last Sunday as Asante culture merged with Warri culture when the Olu of Warri Kingdom, Nigeria, Ogiame Atuwatse III observed the third Akwasidae celebration of the year with His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace during his visit to the kingdom.
His visit was to strengthen the unity between the Asante Kingdom of Ghana and the Warri Kingdom of Nigeria, and also to congratulate the Asantehene on his 23rd enstoolment as Asante Monarch.
In attendance included chiefs and several diplomats from both the political and government space paying homage to the Asantehene.

Taking to their official Facebook page, Oluofwarri, the full statement read;
As tradition demands, His Majesty and his contingent paid homage to his Majesty the Asantehe delivering gifts, well wishes and blessings on behalf of the entire peoples of Nigeria in general and the Warri Kingdom in particular.
