The member of parliament for Ningo-Prampram has recently sparked a massive stir, debates, and arguments across all social media platforms after he boldly revealed another ‘hot’ secret about Akufo Addo Government over the controversial E-levy again.
Speaking on the most anticipated “Good Morning Ghana” show with host, Dr. Randy Abbey, the renowned politician and member of the NDC, Sam George unexpectedly revealed that, even though the laws in Ghana don’t permit the ruling government to contract a private for the collection of the revenue yet to be generated by the controversial E-levy, the Akufo Addo government has unexpectedly done the exact opposite.
In addition to this, Sam George took the privilege to invite the members of the economic management team to come out to counter his claims since he had tangible evidence to reveal more secrets about the controversial E-levy.
“If you read the law, they claim the E-levy law that they pass illegally in parliament; in that law, 62 is saying that they cannot contract a private for revenue assurance or collection purposes. However, they are dealing with a private called Express Pay to do the collection and build a monitoring platform for them evict they are going to buy. They want to buy it for 40 million dollars. I put this information out there weeks ago, but they have not been able to respond to it. They can’t come out and counter it”, Sam George emphatically revealed.
Do you think that the Akufo Addo-Bawumia has no right to contract a private for the collection of the revenue yet to be generated from the E-levy for other personal gains as revealed by Sam George even though most individuals claimed otherwise?
