There is no need to provide money to those who are in bad health, unwell, or penniless even if they are dying.
Akwasi Awuah, an evangelist, argued that the church is not required to help those in need financially.
Church finances should be used mostly for maintenance and marketing, according to him.

He highlighted the need of looking for work rather than turn on the church for financial aid.
He emphasized that when in need of financial assistance, members should seek jobs rather than turn to the church.

Reacting to the brouhaha in town, Frank Appiah Rijkaard, a seasoned sports journalist of Kumasi-based Light FM fame has envisaged that Religion is killing Africans.
According to Frank Appiah Rijkaard, if he had been a member of Akwasi Awuah’s church, he would have quit the church on that very day.
