Guineans threaten to oust Doumbouya from power if they do not receive their rice during fasting

The month of fasting among Muslims is called Ramadan and according to Islamic teachings, many benefits come along with it. It is believed that Satan is chained during this period which makes it easy to perform good deeds and desist from bad ones. Sins of believers are forgiven by God when they fast out of sincere faith which gives them hope that all past mistakes are pardoned.

In Guinea, the majority of the masses are Muslims the interim president and it is mandatory for all believers to partake in this fast which forms part of the five pillars of Islam. It is expected that people give out gifts to the needy and the poor by providing them with foodstuff. Hence, the leader of the government led by Colonel Mamady Doumbouya did the needful by distributing some bags of rice to the citizenry.

However, some of the masses were unlucky and didn’t receive their gifts. This act angered some of them who went about ranting with others threatening to overthrow the government should they be denied their share of the package. This occurred in the capital Conakry where a lot of people had gathered in expectation to receive some items from the government.

May the holy essence of this auspicious month remain in their heart. A blessed Ramadan that will inspire them with courage and strength to win every challenge of life.
