Bloody clash left four people in critical condition

On Monday, April 18, 2022, four individuals were injured by thugs at Adanse Abadwum near Akrokerii in the Adanse West District of the Ashanti area, and are fighting for their life.

Members of the Obuasi traditional council attacked the Abadwum community to execute a traditional ceremony, and the thugs, numbering around nine, were supposedly guarding them.

A local journalist, Kwame Marfo, described the incident on EZRA FM/AYEHU TV’s Program on Tuesday, saying the kids of the town decided to organize a football match among themselves on Monday because it was a holiday.

Prior to the football match, one of the youngsters, named Copper, went to go grab some booze, and while on his way, he noticed four thugs along with some Obuasi traditional leaders executing a traditional rite in the neighborhood.

“When Copper saw the goons, he made a statement, which led to a misunderstanding, and the latter got into a fight,” Kwame Marfo claimed.

Afterward, the fighting went across the village, and other members of the community joined the battle.

According to the reporter, the attackers overwhelmed the teens, injuring three of them and stabbing another in the thigh.

“One of the youths had his thigh stabbed, and others were attacked with sticks, resulting in injuries,” he told the host, Adwoa Pokuaa.
