A Ghanaian lady based in the Netherlands, Mavis Akos, has stated that a teacher or cleaner abroad cannot build a house in Ghana unless they sell their bodies or drugs.
Speaking on ‘Daily Hustle Worldwide,’ Mavis indicated that only individuals with well-paying jobs can establish a business or house in Ghana. She disclosed that she was trafficked to Europe to work as a prostitute, but she refused.
“If you are a teacher, photographer, or cleaner, you cannot go back to Ghana and build a huge mansion. It’s not possible. If you don’t have a well-paying job like a doctor or lawyer, it is not possible to build such mansions,” she said.
Mavis also shared the story of her two-month road journey from Accra to Europe. She disclosed that her mother gave her up to human traffickers. According to Mavis, her mother told her they were visiting a family. However, they were human traffickers.
The mother of four disclosed that the traffickers left her on the streets of Groningen after rejecting the job offer.
She also advised the youth to be wary of traffickers who disguise themselves as travel agents. Mavis encouraged the youth to use the proper medium if they desire to travel.
