Throwback to 18, April 2008, Hon. Alan Kyeremanteng was allegedly said to have resigned from the New Patriotic Party after losing the presidential candidate elections organized by the party. He submitted his resignation letter to the then Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Peter Mark Manu.
According to reports from several news agencies, Alan Cash accused the party of maltreating his supporters after he lost the presidential candidate seat in the New Patriotic Party to Nana Akufo-Addo.
He then promised to join the party back at the appropriate time when everything has calmed down.
Before the presidential candidate election, Alan Kyeremanteng popularly known as Alan Cash resigned as the Trade and Industry Minister in July 2007 to pave the ways for him to contest in the presidential candidate elections.
He allegedly joined the party later.
The alleged reason for his resignation from the party was the harsh treatment his supporters were being given after he lost the presidential candidate seat to Nana Akufo-Addo.
