Yet again and as characteristic of them, the president Akuffo Addo’s alleged relationship with the Canadian based Ghanaian Evelyn, popularly known as Serwaa Bring, has since taken the media by storm with a full-blown social media discussion.
However, what most people seem to have forgotten so easily is that, this is not the first time a president is alleged to have a side chick as his (Akuffo Addo) Predecessor had his own bite of the cake while as president. Some people have even named it “Nanano” to conform with “Papano” in sound and probably delete the its notion from the minds of many Ghanaians.
This is not to say that it is alright for the seat of government to go through such things that distract serious government business just because previous presidents were also victims of the same crime. In my opinion, this is an issue that requires a nationalistic approach rather than partisan politics to get rid of it. Probably, it should be looked at and be made to attract some punishment since undisclosed amount of state monies are allegedly spent on both occasions. But when you talk about the cat, leave out the mouse, there appears to be a problem because what is good for the goose is equally good for the Ganda. Thank you.
