Information as posted and shared by Marfo Passco in ‘friends of Sammy Gyamfi’ group on Facebook revealed that, the member of parliament for Asante Akyim, Hon. Appiah Kubi has called on James Quayson to desist from trying to her his office because he is not needed in parliament.
According to the Asante Akyim North MP, Ghana is broke and therefore there is no need for electoral Commission (EC) to spend money in organizing by-election.
The Electoral Commission should handover the parliamentary seat to the NPP aspirant for the area who was the first runner up in 2020.
Ghana is broke, there is no need to spend monies to organize a by-election when the one who placed second in the last election can be given the power. Abena Durowaa Mensah is alive, the Electoral Commission should handover to her rather than spending money to conduct by-election in this hard times.Â
