Founder of mNotify Company and Chatbots Africa, has been adjudged Best Science and Technology Personality of the Year at the maiden edition of the 2022 Forty Under 40 Africa Awards held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra-Ghana.
The prestigious award was in recognition of his dedication and commitment in the science and technology space on the continent, as well as being a highly respected company advocating for best business practices in the sector.
Speaking to the media after receiving the award, Ronald Tagoe thanked his family, friends and everyone who has supported his dreams so far.
He particularly mentioned his committed staff who work tirelessly to make sure the company delivers the best always.
“This all-important award has come to complement our ten years anniversary celebration. We are indeed grateful to the Almighty God for what started as something small in KNUST to grow to this level. I urge everyone to watch out for Chatbots Africa, an initiative developed to champion conversational commerce in Africa and to help African SMEs automate their business operations using self service A.I. – powered Chatbots”, he said.
Ronald Tagoe took the opportunity to urge governments across the continent to keep investing into Science and Technology since that is the direction the world has moved into for good.
The award ceremony which saw dignitaries across the continent was in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in Ghana, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports which seeks to identify, honor and celebrate a cross – section of the continent’s most influential and accomplished business leaders under the age forty from a wide range of industries.
Ronald Tagoe was a computer science student at KNUST and co- founded mNotify (in 2012), a telecommunications company ( SMS and Voice Technology) formed with the objective of developing innovative communication tools that allows brands to grow their reach, engage their audience and build customer loyalty in a more targeted and cost effective approach.
The tools include Bulk SMS, Bulk Voice Calls and USSD.
His passion for Artificial intelligence and belief that social commerce is the future of commerce in Africa, led him to start Chartbot Africa in order to empower Africa SMEs to increase their revenue and enhance their customers engagement using Artificial intelligence and Chatbots (Conversational Commerce).
Chatbot Africa is currently registered in Ghana and Kenya. Chatbots Africa is only five months old, but has so far processed over USD 50, 000 worth of transactions and already won an award.
He is a 2014 Transformed Africa Youth Innovation Award Winner, Afric’ Up 2019 Finalist, 2021 Tech Cabal Future of Commerce Partnership Pitch Winner, and Technology Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 ( Organized by Ghana Startup Network).
