How to recover from broken heart

Brokenheart is a painful experience. Quite interestingly, it happens to both men and women. Critically speaking, the majority of victims are teenagers, and people in their twenties and thirties.

Recovering from brokenheart is not easy. It can take months to recover. For some people, it can take years. The extent of pain often depends on factors such as how deep you loved the person or your investments in the person.

So, how do you recover from brokenheart?

1. Accept the reality: he or she is gone!

Most people suffering from brokenheart keep hoping against hope that their lover would come back. This ‘hope’ will only increase your pain and make it more difficult to heal. Accept that it is over.

2. Be busy. Brokenheart will leave you with no strength to do anything. Sometimes, even eating becomes difficult. But try and gather strength. Find something positive that engages you. It could be cleaning your room or house, reading, singing, physical exercise, etc. Getting busy gives your heart and mind power to fight off the brokenheart.

3. Read the Bible. This the ultimate healing point. It will surprise you how the reassuring voice of God will provide your mind with fresh energy. It is a wonderful experience.

Brokenheart makes you feel worthless. But the Word of God will make you feel loved and valued. Studying the Bible will also remove revenge from your heart. Revenge will make the pain of the brokenheart last forever. Forgiveness will make you quickly forget it and move on.

Reading the Bible will also draw you closer to God which has many advantages.
