Aside the current court battle between the state and Captain Smart Media Generale’s Onua TV, another one has been initiated.
Host of Onua TV morning Show Captain Smart and Onua TV which operates under the umbrella of Media Generale has been sued again for Defamation. The plaintiff who is a renowned former National Athlete and a worker with the Ghana Revenue Authority is seeking damages in several millions of cedis.
According to the plaintiff Mr Clement Agyeman who shared the writ of summons on the Internet, he has presented top accurate video and audio evidence to give weight to his case.
Explaining his case in statement, Clement Agyeman reiterated with facts that Captain Smart called him a thief on live TV without any shred of evidence. Again, he denigrated him with unsolicited lies that he ( Clement Agyeman) has threatened to curse people talking bad about him.
Clement Agyeman added that he is a Christian Christian by faith and will never do such a thing contrary to Captain Smart’s claims.
Furthermore, Clement Agyeman wants an injunction to be placed on Captain Smart and Onua TV to restrain them from publishing or speaking about him again on their channel.
Ever since Captain Smart joined Onua TV, this is not the first time he has been sued over his utterance. Roads and Highways Minister is having issues with him. His case with the state involving his uprising comment is also pending. Now this one has been added.
Indeed, Onua TV and Captain Smart have a lot to defend.
