Mishaal bint Fahd who was born ni 1958 and later killed in 1977 for allegedly committing adultery in public. But people claim that she was killed intentionally at the age of 19. She was a grand daughter of prince Mahammad bin Abdulaziz the older brother of the king of Saudi Arabia. The young lady was sent to Lebanon to study. In Lebanon, she fell in love with a young man by the name Shaer Mulhallal who was a nephew to Saudi Arabian ambassador to Lebanon. They started the affair that led to her killing.
Upon returning to Saudi Arabia, the two were alleged to have been meeting secretly and having the affair. After it was well known that they were doing it, she tried to drown herself but was rescued. She again tried to escape the country through the airport, but she was returned back to her parents before she boarded the aeroplane. According to the Islamic law on adultery, one can only be found guilty of adultery if four male adults give a testimony of committing the act. The males must have witnessed the act and the lady will therefore admit in court by saying publicly that she actually committed adultery three times.
According to her family, there were no such witnesses. But they had told the girl not to accept the allegations with only one condition. The condition was to stop that love affair completely upon completion of the case. It was agreed and the girl proceeded to the courtroom in Jeddah. She said ” I committed adultery” three times without even the witnesses. The court ruled that the two of them should be executed. On 15th July 1977, the two were executed in Jeddah at a park which was located at a vicinity of the queen’s building.
