Students in Senior High Schools have a particular food they enjoyed most at their dining halls. There are some of the food that they detest some much that most of them refuse to go for dining when the bell rings and the menu is revealed to them. Some of the food liked by most SHS students in Ghana include jollof rice with chicken, waakye with egg/fish, rice with groundnut soup, kenkey with pepper and fish, and beans and gari.
Watching the video in this article, the bell boy in the school was recorded ringing the bell that dining time is up but none of the students wakes up from their bed. Another student walked into the hall and asked the friends whether they didn’t hear the bell. One of the students asked this question in the typical Twi language, “What kind of food is going to be served at dining today?”. The guy replied that beans and gari is going to be served.
Immediately after this reply, all the students got up from their beds and started shouting in excitement. Some of them took their bathing bucket and started making noise with it as they rushed to the dining hall. This means that among all the kinds of food served at their school dining hall, beans and gari is their favourite.
